There have been several changes on CBS' NCIS this season and now the executive producer promises some more.

Season 11 saw the departure of Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo, as well as the introduction of Emily Wickersham's character Ellie Bishop. The show's new spinoff, NCIS: New Orleans, was also confirmed last September, inspiring some new content for the original.

"There will be something new," Gary Glasberg recently told Entertainment Weekly. "That was a decision we made early on, where we figured between introducing Bishop [and] doing New Orleans, there was a lot of new stuff going on. We figured lets come up with something else."

Tony DiNozzo To Continue Being 'Flirtatious' in Future Season 11 Episodes?

In turn, the rest of season 11 will have a new focus and won't revolve around an existing storyline.

Fans can also expect the season finale to center heavily on Tony DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly.

"I'd really like to focus on and come up with something for the season finale that has a strong Tony element to it - in fact, we're about to sit down and talk about that," Glasberg also recently told TV Line.

Some fans might also wish for the return of Ziva, who left the NCIS team last October. While it's unclear if she will be included in the rest of season 11, she may come back to Tony in some way.

"A lot of people have approached me about the idea of not shutting the door entirely on [their staying in touch], and I'm not opposed to it," Glasberg told TVLine in January. "But it has to be done in a way where it feels organic to the storytelling and we're not just throwing in lines about Ziva here and there."
