Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Release Date Confirmed for 1st Week of October
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is set to be released in October. Samsung has confirmed that customers will officially be able to get their hands on the device in the first week of October. The device will be unveiled at the "Unpacked" event this week.
Samsung's spokesperson told Reuters: "We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on Aug. 29." It will be unveiled at 7 p.m. local time. Not only will Samsung finally unveil the second generation Galaxy Note, it will also unveil the Galaxy Tab 11.8.
Although the exact specs of the Galaxy Note 2 has not been confirmed, it is rumored to feature a 5.5 inch display which will be "unbreakable", along with a faster processor and improved camera. It is set to rival Apple's upcoming iPad mini and the highly anticipated next generation iPhone 5.
According to latest specs rumors by Seoul Newspaper, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will come with a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor, 5.5 inch AMOLED display, 4G LTE connectivity, 16/32GB storage, 8 MP camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Samsung's latest handset, Galaxy S3, is also expected to feature three new colors: Amber Brown, Sapphire Black and Titanium Grey. The Garnet Red variation of the device is available to AT&T customers.
