Real Madrid vs. Barcelona kicks off on Wednesday in the second leg of their Supercopa 2012 tie, in an intriguing match up. The Spanish Super Cup tie can be watched online through live stream from 4.30 p.m. ET (link provided below).

Real Madrid are attempting to overturn a 3-2 loss from the first leg but will be underdogs going into the tie. Real are still without a win this season having made their worst start to a season in 40 years. Barcelona on the other hand are coming into the tie on the back of three straight victories. However, history and form are only worth so much and once the players are out in the pitch all those thoughts could go out the window, and it would take a brave person to write Real off.

In the first tie, Barcelona dominated possession - as usual - however, they conceded first when Cristiano Ronaldo struck. But Barcelona were in stunning form and went on to score three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead in the match and on the fringe of putting the tie beyond Real's reach. However, Jose Mourinho's side responded and gave themselves a lifeline by pulling a goal back in the 85th minute to end the first leg 3-2 down. That late goal could prove decisive and Real will now fancy themselves to get the victory they need to beat their fiercest rivals.

Real have been touted to give Luka Modric a starting spot in the side following his US$47.5 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur this week.

Madrid drew their first game of the season against Valencia, before losing to Barcelona in the Supercopa first leg, and surprisingly losing to Getafe in a league encounter on Sunday. It is Real's worst start to a season for 40 years.

Modric could be put straight in the side to try and inspire the team to their first win.

"I'm ready, but the coach will decide if he uses me or not," said Modric. "It's going to be tough for me to earn a place but that's the challenge, the biggest challenge of my career. Expectations are as high as possible and I'm ready for that."
