Recent false rumors that actor and comedian Eddie Murphy died for the umpteenth time stems from a website called Global Associated News.

The website reads: "The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed."

However, a disclaimer at the bottom of the article claims that the story is fake and fabricated for entertainment purposes. "Fake ...This story is 100% fake! This is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes."

The fake report says that the 51-year-old actor "was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

This is not the first time Eddy Murphy has 'died' in the numerous internet hoaxes that tend to strike celebrities on a regular basis. He was to have 'died' as recently as last month, and in 2011.

Other celebrities to have fallen victim to the death hoax are most recently Bill Cosby and Rihanna. Robert Pattinson and Denzel Washington were also rumored to have 'died'.

However, despite the death hoaxes being common on the internet, particularly Eddie Murphy, fans still checked online to confirm that he was well and alive.

But to those internet trolls out there - please stop killing off celebrities!
