Jada Pinkett Smith Admits 'I Did My Year' on 'Gotham'

Batman fans likely already know that Lucius Fox is an important character to the Batman universe. He was played by Morgan Freeman in the Dark Knight trilogy on the big screen.

Chalk's credits include Showtime's Homeland and FX's Justified in addition to the Broadway play Fences. The actor will apparently have the option to star in season 2 after his debut appearance in episode 21.

As Lucius Fox is introduced, another character will be saying goodbye in the final four episodes of the season. Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) will not be featured beyond the first season of Gotham, with the actress saying that it was always going to be a one-season deal for her.

Smith certainly made an impact on Gotham in the first season as she was one of the only original characters who did not previously come from the comics.

Gotham returns with a new episode on Monday, April 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
