Rumor currently has it that one of the former presidents and his wife may have a nasty scandal over their heads even though they're not alive to see it.

On Monday, Daily Mail discussed the possibility that John F. Kennedy may have already had a wife when he married Jacqueline Bouvier. He could've secretly tied the knot with Palm Beach socialite Durie Malcolm in 1947 before marrying Bouvier in 1953.

The site pointed out that evidence might indicate that records of the alleged first marriage were destroyed by JFK's father.

If the rumor is true, then Kennedy and Malcolm would've been at a party where they had a lot to drink and got married in the heat of the moment. This leaves questions if the former president was a bigamist and if he and Jackie were in an official marriage or not.

Investigative reporter Seymour M. Hersh, who wrote the book 'The Dark Side of Camelot,' gave credence to this scandal and seems to stand by what insiders told him about it.

"I wrote what I wrote," he said.

Hersh also suggested that Kennedy and Malcolm's possible marriage could've been annulled. It was also said that a friend of the former president named Charles Spalding had some details on the ordeal.

He said that Kennedy's father, Joe, "demanded that [records of the marriage] be taken care of. [The Kennedy family was] afraid the whole thing was going to come out. I went out there and removed the [marriage] papers. It was [John's brother] Jack who asked me if I'd go get the papers."
