Stars of the hit ABC comedy "Modern Family" agreed to new contracts on Friday, ending a dispute that erupted in public just as the show prepared to start work on a fourth season.

Lupe Ontiveros, a veteran Latina character actress who worked in films such as "As Good As It Gets" and on TV shows like "Desperate Housewives," has died of lung cancer. She was 69.

Robert Pattinson is another victim of an internet hoax claiming that the actor has died. With news of Kristen Stewart cheating on Pattinson, rumor has been circulating on Twitter and Facebook that the Twilight actor died in a car accident. However, these rumors are not true and the actor is very well alive - although he may be heartbroken and devastated over the recent revelations of Stewart's infidelity.

The Olympic Games 2012 kicked off its opening ceremonies at 4pm ET and 9 PM GMT at the Olympic Stadium in London. The action-packed extravaganza featured 10,000 performers, 900 children performers, nearly 13,000 props and more than 160,000 square feet of staging, which was the equivalent to 12 Olympic-sized swimming pools. NBC is airing the Olympic Opening Ceremony three hours later, starting 7:30 PM ET.

"Dancing with the Stars" dancer Cheryl Burke stepped out in West Hollywood with younger actor Zac Efron.Burke, 28, was hanging out with the "High School Musical" star in West Hollywood at Bootsy Bellows. Efron, 24, joined Burke and her group of girls in the VIP room at the popular club. "At one point, they went up to get drinks from the bar, and they showed off their dance moves," an onlooker told PEOPLE exclusively. "They ordered a few cocktails to bring back for them and their friends."
