Magnus Bane fans will finally get their day.

'Shadowhunters' TV Show: Edgy & Sexy, Cassandra Clare Compares Series To 'True Blood'

The Mortal Instrument's first film adaptation left the warlock out in the cold, but ABC Family's Shadowhunters will give Magnus the spotlight he deserves.

Photos from set certainly indicate that Harry Shum Jr. is very busy with his new role and it's accompanying gravity-defying hair, and author Cassandra Clare recently teased just how much more Bane viewers can look forward to this spring.

"I really want to see what they do with Magnus Bane, who's really sort of a fan favorite character that I love writing and only had like one second in the move," Clare said, according to Red Carpet News TV. "Here he's a much bigger character, he's got a lot more of a plot, so for me that's going to be really interesting."

Bane, a warlock that protagonist Clary Fray meets up with as she steps into the world of the nephilim (half-human/half-angel demon hunters), is centuries old despite his youthful appearance. As Clary will soon find out, she has met Magnus before, as he is the one who protected the teen from seeing the Shadowhunters' world for the better part of her life.
