If the suggested title for the season 17 premiere of Law & Order: SVU is anything to go by, fans should prepare to see some surgically spilled blood.

Rollins To Get "Obsessed" With A Case In Season 17

This information comes straight from showrunner Warren Leight. Leight revealed that the working title for the part one of the premiere was 'Devils Dissections.' Posting this news on Twitter he added that it was "kind of creepy."

The showrunner has previously revealed that the premiere will be one to watch out for, as it will be a "big," "two part" affair.

Odafin Tutuola To Return As Olivia's Sergeant For Season 17?

After the preview of the premiere was recently released, reports swarmed in about the episode being inspired by Robert Durst case.

Vulture reported that the premiere of season 17 of the NBC procedural will be inspired by the Robert Durst story. The pop culture website has picked up on a bunch of crucial clues from the preview for the premiere that connext it to the Durst story -- from the protagonist being a very wealthy "untouchable" serial killer and also his method to dispose of the dead bodies in trashbags. Durst had hacked up some of his victims and stuffed their limbs in similar bags. Perhaps the use of the word dissections in the working title of the episode hints at that.

The premiere is bringing back a big baddie from a past season, and this time around it seems like the serial killer might have just gotten better at his game. Serial killer Greg Yates -- the murderous doc who horrified viewers in the Law & Order SVU and Chicago P.D. crossover -- is back!

The preview shows the crew investigating a series of connected murders, as 9 dead bodies are recovered and some are found at the sea shore, wrapped in a trash bag. The premiere hints that the team suspects the killer is a wealthy New Yorker. "This is the one America will be talking about, again," runs the tagline for the preview. We only get a glimpse at Yates's face through the length of the clip.

Previously, The Hollywood Reporter got revealed that the premiere will be quite phenomenal as Dallas Roberts portrayed a very chilling Yates and the actor will be reprising the role for the premiere of season 17.

Season 17 will premiere on Sept. 23 on NBC.
