Fox is definitely giving fans more than enough explosive sneak peeks of Empire to hold us off until the premiere later this month, but the latest one is what still has everyone talking.

In the newest trailer released Friday, Lucious Lyon is still claiming his love for Cookie!

“I never stopped loving you Cookie. I tried. It never went away,” he confesses when she went to visit him in jail. “I don’t care how much we done been through. I want my family together. It’s crazy how I can love you and hate you in the same moment.”

Cookie breaks her silence and reveals, “I call it torture.”

Given the history of the Lyon clan’s drama, it’s safe to assume that it’s much easier said than done. Especially since even the sons Hakeem, Andre and Jamal are battling one another like never before. With Lucious in jail, it might be difficult for him to reign with his iron fist like he has in the past.

But an orange jumpsuit and a life behind bars hasn’t stopped Lucious from staying in the music business. In fact, he continues to make tunes while in jail.

Still, the question of “Who will rule the empire?” still remains as Anika Calhoun returns after she called off the engagement with Lucious and even had a brief hookup with the youngest Lyon son, Hakeem, last season.
