Sawyer Sweeten's Mother Talks About His 'Amazing Heart'

After Sweeten died last spring, his co-stars from the series expressed their condolences. Brad Garrett, who performed as Sweeten's uncle on the popular sitcom, opened up on how heartbroken he felt when he found out the news.

"The Sweeten family is obviously our family," Garrett said via People. "This was devastating news. We grew up with these children on the set. It's been hard. They're an amazing family, and our love goes out to them, of course. The loss of a child- nothing worse."

Ray Romano also gave an emotional statement on his former co-star's passing.

"(I am) shocked and terribly saddened (by the news)," he said via Philly.com. "He was a wonderful and sweet kid to be around. Just a great energy whenever he was there. My heart breaks for him, his family and his friends during this very difficult time."
