It looks like more people are starting to tune out of Fox's biggest hit Empire.

‘Empire’ Star Is Over Show’s Beef With Power ‘I Don’t Se Why We Both Can’t Exist’

The show has suffered a massive drop in ratings just after two episodes of its sophomore season. It made its very first premiere back in January and while it is arguably the biggest series of the year, this time around the success is a little questionable.

Now, it’s no secret that the series is still a big hit. After all, the season two premiere saw roughly 17 million viewers! But after that, it dropped nearly 4 million as 13.7 million tuned in. While this is a big difference when it comes to television, it is safe to say the show is still doing pretty amazing— especially with almost 14 million people watching.

According to Deadline recently, the show is still the “highest-rated entertainment program on broadcast TV” when it comes to the 18-49 demographic— which is one of the most competitive targets in television. It has also beat out other hit shows like Modern Family on ABC.

So it looks like the Lyon family of Lucious (Terrence Howard), Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), Hakeem (Bryshere Gray), Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Andre (Trai Bryers) will be reigning for a pretty good while along with supporting stars like Rhonda (Kaitlyn Doubleday) Becky (Gabby Sidibe) and Anika Calhoun (Grace Gealey).

Other celebrities have already graced the show this season like Ludacris, Chris Rock Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz. Other stars such as the likes of Mariah Carey are set to have cameos as well.

Don’t miss Empire Wednesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
