One star of Fox’s Empire has the same question as millions of fans when it comes to the feud between the hit series and 50 Cent's show Power on Starz.

Gabourey Sidibe who plays one of our favorite assistants on the super popular show had a few things to say about 50 Cent’s recent jab at the show.

“I wonder why we just can’t be two TV shows on TV with great ratings and great audiences. I mean we’re not against each other,” she told Entertainment Tonight Thursday. “I don’t see why we both can’t exist.”

The feud between the two hit shows sparked after 50 Cent took to social media to say that Empire stole his marketing tactics that he used for Power. He also said the story lines are very similar as compared Empire’s lead male role of Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard) to Power frontrunner Ghost (played by Omari Hardwick). Since then, he has gotten into an all out battle with Empire’s lead actress Taraji P. Henson, who has fired back at the rapper several times on social media. On top of that, Empire itself threw a jab at 50 Cent when Henson’s character Cookie, called him “thirsty” in the second season premiere Wednesday night. But Sidibe does have a point, the two shows really aren’t competing with one another. After all, Power’s season finale ended weeks before Empire even returned. On top of that, Power aired on Starz on Saturday nights and Empire has dominated Wednesdays. So even if the shows were in sync with their seasons, they wouldn’t air on the same nights. But a little friendly competition never hurt.
