Beyonce has finally responded to critics over her lip-sync scandal. Loud. When the 31-year-old held a press conference in New Orleans Convention Center on Jan. 31, she began the media gathering by singing the national anthem live to prove she really can sing to naysayers. When she finished she asked reporters, "Any questions?"

Beyonce then admitted she used a pre-recorded track of her vocals when she performed for President Obama on Inauguration Day (Jan.21) but she also sang along with it at the same time.

"I am a perfectionist. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra for a live television show and a very very important emotional show for me one of my proudest moments," Beyonce told a group of media outlets on Thursday."I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration and I wanted to make him and our country proud so I decided to sing along with my prerecorded track. I'm very proud of my performance. Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound check, I did not feel comfortable taking the risk ... so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry. And I'm very proud of my performance."

The "halo" singer was asked if she planned to sing live at the Super Bowl. She responded by saying she "always sings live."

"I will absolutely be singing live. I am well rehearsed and this was what I was born to do. I always sing live. This inauguration was unfortunately a time where I could not rehearse because I was rehearsing for the Superbowl. That was always the plan."

Beyonce took a number of questions from several reporters and addressed topics including. When asked if her husband Jay-Z will join her on stage, she played coy saying "I don't know."

"I can't really give you any details. I'm sorry."

When asked if Destiny's Child would join her on stage she said couldn't "say too much unfortunately."

"We did just put out a new single, though," she added, "It was so exciting to hear us together again. There's nothing like the sisterhood we have so it's always exciting to be around them professionally and personally."

She admitted she is "nervous" about Super Bowl Sunday: "I'm so anxious [about the Superbowl}. I'm still very nervous."
