Clearly, Steven Tyler still craves the American Idol spotlight. The Aerosmith rocker showed up at the Oklahoma audition dressed in drag. Wearing bright red lipstick and blonde wig, Tyler or should we say “Pepper” was prepared to wow the judges to be sent off to Hollywood.

“Pepper” told judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban that he would be belting out a tune aptly titled, “Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa, Our Love Going to Grow Wah Wah.”

The former Idol judge’s act didn’t hold up for too long as the panel burst into laughs. Having worked with Jackson last year, the judge immediately blew his cover. Tyler still joked, “Do I go to Hollywood or what?”

Then the 64-year-old threw off his wig and swung his hair around in true rocker form. He announced that he just wanted to visit the set and greet the new judges’ panel. After they all shared a few laughs, Tyler walked out of the audition room but not before raising his dress and flashing the panel a shot of his rear.

Tyler’s visit could be seen as a way for him to make amends for pre-judging the new panel in an interview last year.

Last year, Tyler was interviewed by MTV News and said if Bob Dylan were to audition for the singing reality competition, Minaj would have sent him "to the cornfield."

Minaj's fans came to her defense and forced an apology from the "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" crooner.

He later clarified and said he only meant to imply that the "Starships" singer would have sent Dylan home.

However, Minaj took to Twitter about Tyler's initial comment and wrote in response, "You assume that I wouldn't have liked Bob Dylan??? why? black? rapper? what? go f--- yourself and worry about yourself babe."

Tyler told Canadian entertainment show eTalk on Tuesday that his comment was taken the wrong way and that he is not racist in any way, addressing Minaj specifically.

"I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki, but I am the farthest from [being a racist]," he said. "I am the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don't know where she got that out of me saying I'm not sure how she would've judged Bob Dylan."

Tyler quit the show last season to focus on his band, Aerosmith.
