Retired MLB star Derek Jeter and his fiancée Hannah Davis might have been pretty private about their romance, but now she’s spilling brand new details about their relationship just ahead of their highly anticipated wedding.

Davis, 25, spoke with GQ magazine and said she is definitely okay on the days where Jeter’s schedule might cause him to travel more than the average person.

“That girl in high school that spent every waking moment with the boyfriend and lost all her girlfriends?! That’s not what life’s about. You have family and friends for a reason! You can’t leave that in the dust. And your partner should agree with that and want the same things for himself.”

As for her own career, Davis rose to fame when she covered an issue of Sports Illustrated magazine. But the reason she started posing for the camera was much more modest than that, as she admitted she “Started modeling to buy tennis rackets.”

When it comes to the ring, one expert let E! News know just how much Jeter probably dished out before he got down on one knee to pop the question.

Forevermark Diamond Expert, Kristen Trustey, said it looks like the ring is roughly four or five carats.

“Assuming that Derek sprung for a center diamond of the highest quality in terms of clarity and color, I would estimate the value to be between $350-$450K.”

The two had been dating for a little more than three years before Jeter proposed. They made their first red carpet appearance together at the MET Gala this year.
