NBC has released a preview video of the season 2 of Fashion Star starring Jessica Simpson.

Simpson, 32, who is pregnant with her second child, appears in the promotional clip for the show slated to return on Friday, March 8. In the footage, Simpson wears big hair and flaunts her cleavage in a little black dress with a plunging neckline. She spoke in the video about why she returned to the reality show.

"I came back to Fashion Star because I was really excited to work with the designers. We're mentors to help the designers make sure their choices are correct, " Simpson said in the preview video. "The best part of Fashion Star is (to) watch it and buy it - a woman cannot ask for anything better!"

Fashion Star is a reality competition show where twelve fashion designers compete for a multi-million dollar prize and the opportunity to launch their collections at Express, Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue. A buyer from each store will be present and will bid for items each week that will be sold on their retail floor. Because the show was taped previously and is not live, the items that they bid on will be available for retail purchase a week after the episode airs.

Simpson has achieved much success as a fashion designer with her Jessica Simpson Collection brand. She landed on Forbes' 100 One To Watch List last year because she raked in estimated $14 million with her fashion brand licensing deals and her gig with NBC's Fashion Star. Retail experts estimated that her brand is worth $100 million. In 2011 her fashion, shoes and accessories line made approximately $1 billion and $750 million in 2010 according to New York magazine. She sold the rights to bear her name on to Camuto Group for $15 million in 2005 and earns an estimated $10 to $15 million per year since then.

Fashion Star features additional judges including Harlow designer Nicole Richie, menswear designer John Varvatos and new host Louise Roe. Roe replaced British supermodel Elle MacPherson who was the host during season 1.

Fashion Star premieres March 8 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
