Gigi Hadid is talking haters amid rumors of a possible split from Zayn Malik.

As she and Malik continue to face rumors of a breakup, which was allegedly prompted by the former One Direction singer wanting to see other people, Hadid spoke out about how she deals with backlash and critics online.

“We cope with trolls by having each other," Hadid said of herself and Kendall Jenner during an interview with Love magazine, via Capital Magazine on Friday. "It’s the same thing as dating someone within the industry rather than out of the industry. You only understand it when you’re literally experiencing it. When people are really harsh? I live with my best friend from high school but usually I’m going to call Kendall because Kendall’s the one who will always be like, ‘You don’t need that, just let it go’. And I know that if it’s working for her then it can work for me.”

Hadid and Jenner, who has been linked to Malik's former bandmate Harry Styles in recent months, have been friends for years and often walk in runway shows together.

As for Hadid and Malik, a source earlier this week claimed they split earlier this month two weeks after she turned 21.

“Zayn broke the news to Gigi two weeks after her birthday,” a source told Life & Style, via Hollywood Life. “He sat her down at dinner and told her how he felt.”

According to the source, Malik simply wants to keep his options open and focus on himself rather than a relationship.

“Zayn told Gigi that he wanted to keep his options open and work on himself,” the source explained to the magazine. “Gigi was shocked because she thought they were a perfect couple. She is absolutely heartbroken and has been feeling really sad ever since.”
