Michelle Knight, one of the three Cleveland women who went missing for more than 10 years is reportedly suffering from hearing loss and facial damage after years of beating.

Michelle, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and a six-year-old girl were rescued Monday from the home of Ariel Castro, the suspect linked to the kidnappings.

According to Yahoo, Michelle was the first victim to be kidnapped. Berry was last seen in 2003 and DeJesus vanished in 2004.

Unlike Berry and DeJesus who were released from the hospital Tuesday -Michelle remained in the hospital as of early Wednesday. Sources told Fox 8 Cleveland that Michelle seems to have facial bone damage and hearing loss from harsh treatment by Castro and his brothers- Pedro and Onil.

Michelle was last seen at her cousin's house on Aug. 23, 2002. Her grandmother, Deborah Knight, said that according to police and social worker findings, the family concluded Michelle left her home because she was angry that she lost custody of her son.

Michelle's mother, Barbara Knight appeared on the TODAY show and said that the family never lost hope on finding Michelle.

"Certain people said she didn't want nothing to do with me but still in my heart I thought no, because I knew my Michelle," Barbara said. "They figured she just left because of the baby and everything."

"I don't want her to think that I forgot about her," Barbara said. "Hopefully whatever happened between us, if something did - I hope it heals because I really want to take her back to Florida with me."

According to the Plain Dealer newspaper, Barbara recalled time when said thought she saw her daughter once at a shopping center with an older man. She screamed her name, but the woman never looked back.

"I'm praying that if it is her, she will come back with me so I can help her recover from what she has been through," Barbara said. "So much has happened in these ten years. She has a younger sister she still has not met. I missed her so much while she was gone."
