The season finale of Grey's Anatomy approaches and with Meredith Grey in labor, will she be able to have a smooth delivery in midst of the major storm taking over Seattle?

Talking about the finale, showrunner Shonda Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter, "We're definitely going to see some people in jeopardy. When we leave the season, we're definitely going to be worried about one of our own."

She added that Grey's delivery will not be easy, and that she will give birth "in the last-worst situation you'd want to be giving birth. It's going to be not so pleasant for her."

The finale airs on May 16 and is titled Perfect Storm. A weather-related disaster will "cause the staff to go into crisis mode" and be "very intense," with a lot of major things expected to change for some of the main characters, according to TV Guide.

ABC's official synopsis for the finale is as follows: "As the storm rages, patients are brought to the hospital by the busload and resources dwindle; a doctor's life hangs in the balance."

Rhimes also talked about the relationship between Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins, and how it may be jeopardized by new doctor Lauren (guest star Hilarie Burton) who flirts with Robbins. Arizona will allow the flirting to go "very, very far," according to Rhimes.

"I feel fairly committed that it marginalizes Callie and Arizona to say that they're the lesbian couple and happy and they can only be with one another as the happy couple that sits in the corner," she said. "They've been on this very interesting, complex journey this season and that journey is not finished."

The goal of their story line - of what will happen between Callie, Arizona and Lauren - will be revealed in the last few moments of the finale.

"That was the most stunning moment of the table read -- the entire cast gasped and fell silent," Rhimes said. "It's complex and it's big for them and you're seeing something huge."
