Reports are spreading that an alleged NBA trade between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers has been the hot topic in the news today. The Thunder is said to be pursuing Blake Griffin and the team would like to pair him with Russell Westbrook.

The Thunder is holding a win-loss record and currently at the 6th spot of the Western Conference division. Though they look fine at this juncture, the season is still a long way and they are concerned that Westbrook might suffer exhaustion carrying the load for the team. This scenario could not happen if only Kevin Durant stays with the team.

Durant, who decides to leave the Thunder last summer and join the Golden State Warriors, is one of the offensive firepower for them last season that they truly miss. Rumors are now saying that the Thunder must make a move to fill in that hole and it appears they are targeting Griffin.

According to FOXSports, the proposed trade between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers might sound silly because it involves an All-Star player and two promising players but this it appears to be viable to both teams. NBA trade scenario is suggesting that the Clippers will send Blake Griffin to the Thunder in exchange for Enes Kanter and Domantas Sabonis.

Many believed that Griffin inclusion to many controversies on and off the court plus his recurring injuries makes him dispensable to the team. Buzz is also saying that the Clippers is said to be prepared to break the trio of Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan and ready to move in another direction. Making this trade a plausible deal for both teams.

The arrival of Griffin will surely give the Thunder the needed support for Russell Westbrook on the offensive end and their tandem will definitely be a potent one. Meanwhile, Kanter and Sabonis are perfect players for Clippers coach Doc Rivers to develop and inject to his system.

The upside of this trade is it will work under NBA trade rules and salary cap policy making it a legal deal to both team as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine. And as said earlier, though the trade deal between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers could be pure madness it could benefit both teams in the process.

Will the Oklahoma City Thunder be able to get Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clipper and pair him with Russell Westbrook?
