Several of country music's biggest singers voiced their support for fellow singer Randy Travis, who suffered a stroke earlier in the week.

"We're all pulling for you Randy," Brad Paisley tweeted Thursday. Paisley was one of many country stars who publically showed gave support to Travis, who was in critical condition through Thursday.

"I always feel like he's part of our family, he's in our family," Keith Urban said in a Wednesday interview. "And I was one of those guys in Australia that bought Storms of Life (Travis' first album) and became a Randy fan very quickly in late '80s, and I really feel for him right now."

Urban also tweeted on Tuesday, "Sending healing strength and love to you this morning @randytravis."

Travis had emergency surgery Wednesday due to pressure on his brain. The singer had the stroke while he was being treated for heart failure caused by a virus. Michael Mack, a member of the Baylor Health Care System that is treating Travis, discussed his condition Wednesday.

"His condition has stabilized, and he has shown signs of improvement," Mack said. "On behalf of Mr. Travis' family, friends and associates, we would like to express our extreme gratitude for the overwhelming affection and support that Mr. Travis has received."

There was an outpouring of support Wednesday night from country music's biggest stars, like Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott who tweeted, "Praying myself, and asking all to pray for Randy Travis," and Rodney Atkins who tweeted, "Just heard @randytravis had a stroke and is in surgery. Praying for Randy, the medical staff and his family. #PrayForRandy."

Joe Nichols and Martina McBride tweeted that they too were praying for Travis while the Grand Ole Opry account urged its followers to "please continue praying for @randytravis."

Travis is best known for such songs as Three Wooden Crosses, Forever and Ever, Amen and his duet with Carrie Underwood on I Told You So. His debut album, Storms of Life has sold over three million copies.
