Kirstie Alley, who has a handful of National Enquirer covers, knows what it's like being followed by paparazzi.

After hearing about Kanye West assaulting a paparazzi outside of the LAX airport, Alley took to social media to cheer him on. "I love that Kanye went all whack on that a**hat Paparazzi... too bad he didn't whip his a** with his hat!" she tweeted. "GO KANYE!!" the actress tweeted.

When one of her 1.2 million followers responded, "You're just saying that because you hate them," she replied, "That is true...I applaud anyone who takes a swing at them."

In addition to Alley tweeting her support, famed pop singer Cher tweeted her own message on July 21.

"DEAR KANYE,THANK U,4 TRASHING THOSE LOATHSOME PARASITES,WHO STEAL OUR MOST PRECIOUS GIFTS,"TIME & PRIVACY"WE CAN NEVER GET THOSE BACK! Cher," she tweeted.

Unlike Cher and Alley, Kim Kardashian's mom Kris Jenner shared her own opinion on the incident defending Kanye.

"I think he was just a little sleep deprived because of the baby probably, I don't know," Jenner said on The Talk. "They're obviously provoked to an extent that we see nothing about...none of us know the 15 minutes that happened before that."

While Jenner claimed West doesn't have a "short temper," she added, "It takes a really long time to get somebody to push those buttons and then when they're pushed, sometimes people lose their cool."
