John Mayer stopped mid-concert to make sure that an audience member got the help that they needed.

The singer was performing his first concert since the major Covid-19 shutdown when an audience member fainted in the middle of the show. Mayer was in the throws of singing Slow Dancing in a Burning Room when a fan seemed to have fainted. According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, he stopped the music to make sure that they were alright.

The artist checked in with the fallen audience member from the stage. "Stop the show. Are they conscious?," he called out. "They're conscious. Give me a thumbs-up if they're alert." When the person finally made their way out of the room, he ensured that the rest of the crowd was also given a status update. Anyone in the crowd who's worried, I'm told that she's up and waved goodbye, so she's OK. The system works, thank you very much." That is what you call both high quality entertainment and a high quality person.

John Mayer's reaction is admirable. Other performers would not have and have not previously done the same. During Travis Scott's Astroworld Music Festival tour, ten audience members were killed in a crowd rush, but the show continued moving right along. We are so glad that John Mayer took a second to make sure that everyone was okay and then still continued playing afterwards. He is a LITERAL inspiration!

We can't wait to keep up with more of John Meyer's shows in the weeks to come.
