Dream Team ASSEMBLED! Mindy Kaling Co-Writing Reese Witherspoon Produced 'Legally Blonde 3'! Here's What Else We Know!
Legally Blonde 3 is happening and Mindy Kaling is involved which no one is saying, "I object!" to.
The iconic third movie of what has become the Legally Blonde franchise has been talked about for a very long time, but, according to a BuzzFeed article, Mindy Kailing is attatched to the production which gives us confidence that this is going to get done. Kaling will be co-writing the highly anticipated film, so we know it will be embewed with the fantastic, quick witted comedy she is known for.
Reese Witherspoon is producing the film and will be reprising her famed role Elle Woods. Jennifer Coolidge, who was recently seen in a very interesting Super Bowl commercial, will be coming back as the hilarious friend Paulette. While it has not been officially confirmed, Luke Wilson has said that he would happily return to play Emette in the film. Also, rest assured, in this third movie, Emmette and Elle are still married in this upcoming movie.
While we can definitely get excited about all of the returning characters, we have been assured that there will be some fresh faces. Kaling told E!, "There's definitely gonna be a lot of new faces in the movie. Reflecting the world as it is now is something that's really important to Reese, and so having there be like diversity is super, super important. You can definitely count on that."
Just like the original film, we are sure that Legally Blonde 3 is going to be a life-altering mega-sensation. No pressure or anything, but, hey, we are talking about Elle Woods. She can do anything.
