On a recent episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Sherri Shepherd and Isaac Mizrahi made an appearance. During the show, Andy Cohen addressed the recent news of Shepherd taking over Wendy Williams' slot with her show "Sherri" that was previously occupied by "The Wendy Williams Show." However, Shepherd only had the highest praises to say about the iconic talk show host, who has been suffering from ongoing health issues.

In a clip posted to YouTube, after being congratulated for the great news regarding "Sherri" and asked what inheriting Williams' legacy means to her, the actress and comedian responds, "What Wendy does, nobody can recreate...Wendy created that. The 'spill the tea,' you know, the she sits there and be like, 'You know what I'm talking about.' So, I love that and I love her fearlessness. And that is something that I want to emulate and keep going...She opened up a lot of doors and she's up there with the greats."

Additionally, Shepherd shared about how she's super excited about being able to host her show "Sherri" after all her experience in daytime television. She revealed, "I used to be like five years-old with a toilet roll and all my teddy bears...talking to my teddy bears."

We're so happy to hear that Shephered is on her way to achieving her childhood dreams. We also hope her feelings of respect and admiration for Williams reaches the talk show host as she continues to battle the health issues that have prevented her from returning to the air. Congratulations to Sherri and we hope Williams has a restful recovery!
