Many stars in the show business have been voicing out their horrific experiences during filming, auditions, and screen tests. Diane Kruger bravely spoke out about the time when she felt uncomfortable before getting one of the most notable roles in her career.

Speaking at the Variety SXSW Studio, the 45-year-old actress said she underwent a screen test for the 2004 film "Troy," where she played the role of Helen alongside Brad Pitt.

During the unthinkable moment, Kruger revealed she came across the "Weinsteins of this world from the get-go," referencing the disgraced film producer, Harvey Weinstein, who was accused of sexual assault and abuse over a period of three decades.

Explaining what had happened, the actress said she had to go to the studio head in costume without naming the person.

"And I felt like meat, being looked up and down and was asked, 'Why do you think you should be playing this?'" she told the outlet. (via People Magazine)

At the time of this writing, the studio behind the film, Warner Brothers Pictures, has not publicly responded on the matter.

This is not the only time Kruger felt the shocking experience. She revealed that she had been put in inappropriate and uncomfortable situations throughout her career, which she thought was normal at first.

When the actress started in the industry, she initially thought, "this is what Hollywood is like."

Recalling the previous incidents, she told the outlet her latest film, "Swimming with Sharks," required her to film a scene where her role is sexually exploited, saying a specific scene was a reminder of "how disgusting and acceptable bad behavior was at a certain time in our society."

In addition, one thing that drew her to the character is that it is the Hollywood of 2022 where women have careers and put their families or their dreams on the "back burner."

"The vulnerability of this character, combined with this excessive abusive of power, was really intriguing to me," she added.

Diane Kruger's Previous Shocking Audition

The latest comments come a few months after the "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" actress claimed she had to do the unthinkable for her to secure a role in the 2009 movie "Inglourious Basterds."

Kruger said she had to jump through "hoops" because director Quentin Tarantino was unsure about her abilities.

Despite giving everyone a shot to audition, the actress said the director didn't want her to audition as he saw a previous movie she was in that he didn't like, so he questioned her from the beginning.

She was permitted to audition because there was no one left to try out for the role.

Kruger had to pay for her flight from the United States to Germany because Tarantino wouldn't. When the time came, she proved herself and was able to snag the role.
