Although Netflix's hit Internet series House of Cards may be a bit fabricated when it comes to real-life politics, actress Robin Wright (Claire Underwood) stated that she's heard it isn't too far off from the truth.

The HoC actress spoke to Politico about the highly popular program, which is up for a whopping nine Emmy nominations. She even gave a direct description of her character Claire, who plays the role of Francis Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) wife.

"Probably two words: thoughtfully cunning. And beautifully calculated," Wright said.

When the 47-year-old was queried whether or not she felt the writing on the show was a realistic portrayal of real-life politics, the actress explained that she actually received an acknowledgement from a politician that it was very close to it.

"I've spoken to a couple of very formidable politicians in your world over there. And I said, 'How was the accuracy? Are we in the 90th percentile?' And both of them said 99 percent. 'The only thing that's implausible is, for instance, we would never be able to get an education bill passed that f--ing fast,' one of the politicians said."

Although no launch date has officially been announced, Netflix's House of Cards is slated to launch its season 2 on the Internet at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information. A recent sneak peek video can be watched below.
