The latest bomb to drop regarding Christopher Nolan's next film "Oppenheimer" is the news about "The Boys" star Jack Quaid joining the already star-studded cast. Coming off the recent box office success of 2022's "Scream," the fifth installment of the long-running horror franchise, Quaid's addition only amps up the anticipation for Nolan's newest project.

Currently, the cast of A-list stars already includes Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Cillian Murphy, with the Irish actor set to star as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who's known as the father of the atomic bomb for his role in World War II's Manhattan Project.

Though details on the film outside of casting decisions are scarce, what we do know is that "Oppenheimer" is set for a July 21, 2023 release in theaters. Additionally, the film is based off the book "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin," which won the Pulitzer Prize.
