Ben Affleck is clearly very happy with his new fiancee Jennifer Lopez right now - the pair have recently reported that they'll be taking some time to enjoy their engagement before looking into setting a date for the wedding.

Of course, just as J-Lo was not-so-long-ago in a relationship with Alex Rodriguez, Ben Affleck also used to have to traverse the dating world - and apparently, a little while before he was dating Jen, he sent a message to a certain Selling Sunset star on a dating app called Raya - an app used exclusively by celebrities.

As will come out on this new season of Selling Sunset, Affleck apparently messaged Emma Hernan, who was a new cast member in season 4, "several times," but she wasn't interested.

(Imagine being able to turn down Ben Affleck.)

This might sound like a kinda wild story, but - as the existence of a dating app like Raya suggests - it's actually not that uncommon for even celebrities to meet their partners on dating apps or online. Apparently you actually have to have some wicked DM game as a celeb.

Here are some other famous examples:

Saweetie and Quavo

Their love didn't last - they split in 2021 - but Saweetie and Quavo were going strong for a while there.

In 2020, Quavo revealed just how it all began two years before:

It turns out, the Migos frontman sent her a snowflake after the release of her song "ICY GRL." Saweetie replied with a bowl of Ramen...and the rest is history.

Jeanette McCurdy and Andre Drummond

Detroit Pistons player Andre Drummond wasn't exactly subtle with his online play for iCarly actress Jeanette McCurdy - he posted her as his #WCW for the whole world to see, in fact. He's since deleted the actual Instagram post, but this tweet from July of 2013 remains:

Shortly after he tweeted this, Jeanette McCurdy tweeted him saying she wanted to watch him play - and we guess he did, because they were dating by September - she made him his #MCM and everything.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose

Ask and ye shall recieve, we guess? In a very similar story to the one above, Wiz Khalifa got a date with the gorgeous Amber Rose just by mentioning in an interview that, if he could be with any woman in the world, he'd chose her - she saw this, slid into his DMs, and they were together for a long time after.

Rose and the rapper actually ended up married, and having a child - and though they split for a time, they were remarried in 2020.

We love a happy ending!

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin

The former Suite Life actor bumped into this gorgeous model at a party and messaged her on Instagram shortly after, and they started dating in 2018.

That's a cute story - but it's made really funny by the fact that Barbara Palvin didn't respond to Dylan Sprouse for six months after his initial message. We know they say playing the waiting game is key, but that's a whole other level!

Still, it must have worked, because they are still together today.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

Possibly the most legendary matchup on this list, apparently Nick Jonas was thirsting after Priyanka Chopra to a mutual friend first; Graham Rogers, her co-star on Quantico. (His exact wordse were: "Priyanka. Is. Wow.")

Apparently, Rogers gave him some encouragement, because he eventually slid into her Twitter DMs and said, "I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet."

We all, of course, know how well that went - and if you don't look no further than this video:
