Nicole Kidman’s Unsettling Face Transformation Worries Fan: Plastic Surgery Disaster?
Nicole Kidman received speculations that she underwent a "failed work" on her face.
Kidman has been one of the Hollywood actresses who can make people feel head-over-heels because of her beauty. But things seemingly changed when she recently sparked plastic surgery buzzes due to her unrecognizable appearance.
The actress stirred the speculations after sharing a photo of her with director Lulu Wang on the set of the new Amazon series, "Expats." Although she beamed everyone with her signature smile, Kidman received negative comments instead as her face seemed different.
The now 54-year-old Oscar-winning actress, unlike the other celebrities of her age, appeared wrinkle-free in the photo.
Concerned fans left comments on the Instagram photo, with some even comparing her tight skin to a monster.
"What did you do with your face?!?!?!!!? You are starting to get like a monster, it's sad cuz you were beautiful," the fan said.
Others also said that Kidman no longer looks like "Nicole Kidman" at all.
Did Nicole Kidman Undergo Plastic Surgery?
Dr. Dara Liotta, a facial plastic surgeon, recently weighed in and told New York Post what seemingly happened to Kidman.
According to the dual board-certified specialist, the actress either went through plastic surgery or used "some serious Facetune."
Kidman reportedly looked like she had facelift and neck lift surgery to make her face look younger. She also provided a diagram to highlight the possible enhancements the actress received.
"You can tell by the direction that the deeper facial structures have been pulled and lifted up (yellow arrows) - most evident at the tail of the brow and the corner of the mouth," Dr. Liotta explained. "The jawline - no jowls! - and neck look tighter- and much more youthful than is possible without surgery or some serious Facetune (blue lines)."

Meanwhile, the red lines on the photo purportedly showed the location of face and neck lift scars.
Dr. David Shafer noted that there are considerations that should also be made aside from plastic surgery. He pointed out that, most of the time, what someone looks like in a picture can be completely different from how they look in person.
Despite his explanation, he did not rule out operations in Kidman's case. The actress might have different procedures done on her face, including liposuction, fillers, Botox, and facelifts. Unfortunately, those seemingly became "bad jobs," leaving Kidman with an unnatural look.
Kidman has not responded to the queries about plastic surgery yet.
