Meghan Markle publicly revealed she wanted to be like Princess Diana, but Prince Harry's wife failed to do so because she missed one step.

Royal expert Tina Brown recently highlighted both Princess Diana and Meghan's exits from the Firm. While they both left their royal lives, they actually did it differently.

Brown particularly commended the late Princess of Wales, calling her a "change agent from within." With that, it is something her daughter-in-law never learned from her.

For what it's worth, Princess Diana joined the British royal family in July 1981 and left in 1996 following her divorce from Prince Charles. Unlike Meghan, she did not leave the royal family even after suffering from scrutiny despite being called the People's Princess.

On Lorraine's YouTube Channel, Brown explained that Princess Diana did a great job doing her assignments during her royal life.

"It was her incredible charisma that she bought to that job that made her so extraordinarily special. Diana was always a change agent from within. She didn't leave the Royal Family because she said I'm out, she got divorced. Her husband [Prince Charles] wasn't in love with her, that was the major problem for Diana," she explained.

The late princess also went through agony because of that, but she still attempted several ways before finding the greatest thing to end it - the divorce.

Unlike Meghan, Princess Diana also became much more global after her royal life.

Meghan Markle Failing To Get to the Top in Hollywood?

Brown's comment came after Netflix axed Meghan's animated series, "Pearl," amid the streaming giant's cutbacks. Meghan would have served as the series creator and executive producer. The series tells the story of a 12-year-old girl inspired by several female figures in history.

"Word in town is that even before recent events, Netflix had been telling producers to take some development projects elsewhere," the report said, as quoted by The Guardian. "Clearly, Netflix's inordinately high content spend is being reevaluated. It is just unreasonable to expect its execs to manage that many projects, and have enough of them turn out to be memorable."

Supposedly, "Pearl" was scheduled to become Archewell brand's first animated production since the Sussexes' departure from the royal family.

After the event, the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are said to be eager and willing to return to the monarchy as part-time members.
