Steve Harvey became the latest personality to comment on the "Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars" incident.

The infamous Oscars slap can still be heard around the world, and it finally reached Harvey, who finally commented on the incident.

An Atlanta Journal-Constitution article quoted the comedian's statement during his appearance at Georgia State University on April 25. At that time, he told law students and other attendees that he lost a lot of respect for Smith after the actor slapped Rock in front of the Oscars crowd.

"I'm a Christian but I'm really undeveloped. I don't have high-level Christianity. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm like a 2. That's the level of Christianity I can work on. You slap [Pastor] T.D. Jakes, he'll turn the other cheek. You slap me? If you sit back in your seat, Jada [Pinkett Smith] would have to move out of the way. That's the type of Christian I am," he continuously said, as quoted by Yahoo! Entertainment.

The "Judge Steve Harvey" star viewed the blunder as a punk move since the "King Richard" actor knew no one would stop him from doing so during the live broadcast.

Harvey and his representatives are yet to add more details about the comedian's statement. But his message brought back the issue amid Smith and his family's journey on healing.

Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock

Harvey's comment came over a month after Smith infamously slapped Rock following the comedian's joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's bald head.

Rock, who was presenting at that time, made a reference to G.I. Jane without knowing that the actress has been suffering from alopecia.

Following the incident, Rock and his friend, Dave Chappelle, shed some light during a secret show at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles.

"At least you got smacked by someone of repute. I got smacked by a homeless guy with leaves in his hair," Chappelle said, to which Rock purportedly responded, "I got smacked by the softest n----- that ever rapped."

Smith has publicly apologized to Rock through an Instagram post. But fans noted that he started his meditation overseas without personally saying his sorry to the comedian.

Still, the actor officially resigned from the Academy before the organization put him on a 10-year ban. Smith has since accepted the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' decision.
