Happy Father's Day: Nick Cannon Is Expecting Another Child! (Possibly two!)
Nick Cannon is officially expecting another child.
Yes, you did just see this story a month or so ago.
No, we don't mean the same baby.
The exciting news has just been announced to the world: Nick Cannon is expecting another child with Abby De La Rosa. This will be Cannon's ninth baby overall, with four different women.
This news comes while he is still expecting his eighth child with Bre Tiesi.
Cannon has dropped hints that he is expecting he will announce three children in 2022. Many sources have taken that to mean that De La Rosa may actually be pregnant with twins - which, genetically speaking, is somewhat probable. Cannon and De La Rosa already have one set of twins, Zion and Zillion.
In an interview for a CNN podcast earlier this year, Cannon joked, "If you thought it was a lot of kids last year..."
Part of the reason for the numerous expected children all at once, Cannon has explained has a lot to do with a tragedy endured by Cannon back in 2021.
His child Zen, who he had with Alyssa Scott, had a brain tumor, and died a few short months after being born. This left both Scott and Cannon immensely distraught.
"I started going through some stuff... I got depressed with the loss of my son. So in December... the thing is everybody saw I was so down. So everybody was like, 'Let's just give him a little vagina, and that's gonna cure it all...
"I fell victim to it 'cause I was in a weak state.So December, especially right before Christmas, I started f**king like crazy."
However, while his expected children may have come out of an incredibly dark time for Cannon, he has stressed that he does not have any regrets, and that the love he feels for them, and for all his children, cannot be surpassed.
"It doesn't matter how many you have. It's this unconditional love, this godly-like love that comes over the process."
