On the 10th Anniversary of Gravity Falls airing on Disney XD, Twitter and creator Alex Hirsch are having a bit of fun with the popular conspiracy-based, supernaturally brilliant kids show.

For those not in the know about what exactly we're talking about, Gravity Falls was one of the most innovative cartoons to ever come out of the House of Mouse. The story revolved around two tween-aged twins named Dipper (Jason Ritter) and Mabel Pines (Kristen Schaal), who spend a summer with their eccentric, money-grubbing Uncle Stan who runs an oddities shop in the bazaar town of Gravity Falls. The show dealt with urban legends, monsters, cryptids, and all things otherworldly, linking together a bigger conspiracy with each episode. Running for four years, the show was a work of comedic perfection, and oftentimes, intricately foreshadowed narratives that became a beloved show for young and old.

In honor of its anniversary, Alex Hirsch, the show's creator and voice of Uncle Stan (Grunkle Stan for the initiated) has taken to Twitter to post some of the hilarious notes he received from Disney about possible changes to the series from Disney's standards and practices department followed by Hirsch's replies.

Here are just a few:

Disney S&P: Monday, September 9, 2011. Pg 31 - "Please revise "poopface" as it comes across as a replacement for "shitface." Prior use of Mabel saying "Poop. Poop. And Butts" in the episode Fight Fighters came across as more childlike and not as sensitive."

Hirsch: "I've never met a human on earth of any age who would be offended by a cartoon saying the word "poop face. Not changing it."

Disney S&P: Pg 492 - "It has come to our attention that "hoo-ha" is a slang term for vagina, please revise."

Hirsch: "It is a proper word meaning excitement or hullabaloo, and that is CLEARLY its meaning here. The context is an Owl-Themed restaurant called "Hoo-Ha's Jamboree. Not changing it."

Disney S&P: Pg 14 - "Please revise "Chub Pub" on t-shirt- "Chub" has a sexual connotation."

Hirsch: "This is silly. It's an image of a fat dog. From the context, there is no reason to think that "chub" means anything other than that."

Disney S&P: "We have ran this phrase up the line and unfortunately the concern surrounding it still remains. If you'd like to send me some alternative phrases, I can run those and let you know what becomes of it."

Hirsch: "Alternate Phrases: Chubby Pub. Tub Pup. Chubby Pup Pup. I can't believe I have to do this."

Disney S&P: Pg 11 - Please revise Wendy's response "Aw crud-Dang!" as "crud" has an inappropriate slang definition."

Hirsch: "How is this my life?"

And our personal favorite,

Disney S&P: Pg 31 - "The gag with the basketball player throwing the pet chimp through the basketball hoop, will most likely be problematic. We would need to run the scene by our Disney Animal consultant for acceptability - especially with any primate inclusions. Also, the Monkey's name, "SALACIOUS MONK MONK" is also problematic for S&P as the "salacious" term is inappropriate. Please revise.

Hirsch: "This is maybe the dumbest collection of notes I've ever received. Seriously, re-read this entire paragraph out loud.

We could go on...

With that, if you have not had a chance to watch or even revisit Gravity Falls, you need to evaluate your life choices and get on it ASAP.
