Prince George reportedly had no idea he would one day become king until his parents, Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, created a plot.

The British line of succession serves as a guide to the royals and fans to determine who will take over the monarch soon. After Queen Elizabeth II, the first reserve to the throne - Prince Charles - will finally rule the monarchy.

His eldest son, Prince William, comes next while the Duke of Cambridge's children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) stand next to him.

Although it will surely take decades before the young royals take over the crown, a royal biographer recently revealed that Prince William and Kate created a secret plot to inform Prince George about his future role.

An article shared by Express UK disclosed that Robert Lacey learned about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's plot that helped them tell their son about his position in the line of succession.

The royal couple purportedly sat their son down at a "controlled moment of their choice" instead of letting him find out about it accidentally. If the latter happened, they were worried that Prince George would be confused.

"William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son. Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself. But sometime around the boy's seventh birthday in the summer of 2020, it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince's life of future royal 'service and duty' would particularly involve," Lacey explained.

Prince George Being Prepared Before Becoming King

Since 2020, after Prince William told his son about his roles, talks about the preparations continuously emerged.

That year, Daily Mail said that the Cambridges were using storybooks to prepare their eldest child for his future role.

"William and Kate have already talked to George and Charlotte about their future roles, but in a child-like way so that they understand without feeling overwhelmed," the insider said. "George knows there's something special about him and that one day he'll be the future King of England."

From there, he transformed and grew into a confident little boy who now loves to interact with people. He and Princess Charlotte are also used to crowds that they do not get nervous in public anymore.

With that, royal experts believe that the Cambridges' children are showing signs that they will, one day, become great leaders.
