Even people who seem to be doing everything they want to do have goals that they have not been able to meet yet. This is incredibly true of Pete Davidson. The hardworking star openly shared on a recent episode of the Peacock series Hart to Heart, "I want to be a dad."

We have heard Davidson make jokes about his childhood, but within this Hart to Heart interview, we hear his vulnerability in a way that we haven't before. The star shared:

"My childhood was not great. It was, you know- dad passed early, single mom, like, new sister, just like did not handle it great...my family was just great the whole time. They were super supportive of me trying stand-up because they were like, 'Whatever makes you happy.'"

That is when the star segued into sharing his main ambition. Davidson expressed:

"My favorite thing ever, which I've yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid...That's like my dream...It's like super corny but, like, I just don't talk about [it]."

At his description of this goal being, "super corny," Kevin Hart stopped him. He pointed out:

"It's not super corny. It's the best g**d*** thing you can do in your life."

Davidson went on to explain that the decisions he is making in his life right now are all with the intention of becoming a better person so that when he becomes a father, he is ready.

"I'm just so excited for that chapter...That's kind of what I'm preparing for now is just trying to be as good as a dude and develop and get better so that when that happens its just easier."
