Former professional boxer Mike Tyson slams streaming service Hulu on Instagram for stealing his life story to produce an unauthorized mini-series.

"Mike" will showcase Tyson's life "steeped in as much glory as scandal", as the former boxer had been surrounded by numerous controversies during his dynamic career. The official trailer was released in July 2022.

However, Mike himself makes it known that he has no support and consent for the biopic. He dubbed Hulu as "the streaming version of the slave master" as they did not get his consent or compensate him.

"It's not 1822. It's 2022. They stole my life story and didn't pay me. To Hulu executives I'm just a n****r they can sell on the auction block." he stated on his Instagram.

This isn't the first time that Mike expressed his disdain for Hulu. Since last year, the former boxer had already called out the streaming app for its "corporate greed" and called the mini-series a "tone-deaf cultural misappropriation of the Tyson life story".

The issue doesn't stop there as Tyson claims that Hulu bribed president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White with millions of dollars to promote the unauthorized biopic. The retired boxer expressed his gratitude to his friend for turning the offer down because "he honors friendship and treating people with dignity."

"I'll never forget what he did for me just like I'll never forget what Hulu stole from me." Tyson expressed on his Instagram post.
