Does 'Spider-man' live among us? Jimmy Kimmel recalls how actor Andrew Garfield saved his life during the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards show.

Andrew Garfield debuted as a Marvel star in 2012 for his version of Peter Parker in the superhero film "The Amazing Spider-Man". He, later on, reprised his role in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in 2014, and later in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" last 2021.

'Spider-man' Moment During the 2022 Emmys

In a recent "Jimmy Kimmel Live" episode, TV host Jimmy Kimmel recalls a "superhero" moment where the "The Amazing Spider-Man" star "saved" his life during the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards. Kimmel detailed the events during a musical number inspired by "Game of Thrones", featuring dancers with spears onstage.

"About halfway through the dance, the tip of one of the spears comes flying off the handle straight at us at our table." Jimmy Kimmel recalled during his show. "And out of nowhere, and I swear to God this happened, Andrew Garfield lunges forward and snatches it out of the air, like Spider-Man."

Kimmel made a reference to some of Spider-man's abilities, which include fast reflexes and "spidey senses", which is an instinct to sense and react to danger before it happens. According to Kimmel, he had shared a table with the Marvel star alongside Amanda Seyfried and Jeremy Allen White.

Adding humor to the surreal moment, Kimmel exaggerated the details of the moment while recalling the incident on his talk show.

"Like he might be really Spider-Man," The "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host said. "Just as Spider-Man would have done were he in an undercover situation. His shirt came open; my wife almost had to be resuscitated."

Fans React to Heroic Emmys Moment

Unfortunately, the 39-year-old actor's superhero moment was not caught on camera during the Primetime Emmy Awards, but Kimmel was able to take a snap with his savior during the event.

Meanwhile, fans on Twitter react to the encounter with Jimmy Kimmel and start to suspect if Garfield is perhaps a real-life undercover spider-man, referencing a similar scene in "The Amazing Spiderman 2".

Andrew Garfield was nominated for the "Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie - 2022" category for his role as Detective Jeb Pyre in "Under the Banner of Heaven" during the 2022 Emmy Awards.
