Queen Elizabeth II had several admirers while she was young and married.

However, it seems that the late monarch had reached a point in her life when she was unhappy with the status of her marriage to Prince Philip.

According to Radar Online, she found comfort in the companionship of English aristocrat Lord Carnarvon and Welsh actor Richard Burton. They lavished Her Majesty with the care she need the most.

Rumors about her and Burton's "special friendship" appeared in the late 1950s, years after she and Prince Philip married in November 1947. She claimed to have met the actor after witnessing him perform in a Shakespeare production at London's Old Vic Theater.

In his book, Royal author Nicholas Davies stated that the young Queen was "captivated by the pure power of Burton's voice."

According to sources, the actor was equally honored to be in the company of the princess, alleging that he disregarded her offered hand, kissed her on the cheeks, and hugged her when they chatted backstage.

The outlet also reported that Lord Carnarvon met Queen Elizabeth II when she was still a princess, but they would soon be close again due to "her husband's flaunting of his naughty ways."

One source even revealed that the nobleman was someone the Queen relied on during difficult times.

Prince Philip's Wandering Eye

Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, has long been accused of having a wandering eye and having his way with numerous women.

The Duke of Edinburgh, according to fellow royal chronicler Unity Hall, would make a beeline for attractive women at cocktail receptions. He will not be interested in speaking with anybody else.

There was also a sex scandal involving the Queen's husband that shocked the UK.

The notion of adultery remained even after the Duke's death in April 2021, although there has been no proof that the Queen's spouse was unfaithful to her. There was no evidence that Queen Elizabeth II had cheated on him.

Until Prince Philip died last year, Queen Elizabeth II remained at his side. They had four children throughout their 73-year marriage: King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.

Her Majesty died on September 8, 2022, at Balmoral Castle, just months after celebrating her Platinum Jubilee.

She has surpassed her great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, as the longest reigning British queen in history.

It is unknown what caused Queen Elizabeth II's death, however she had been experiencing mobility concerns in the months immediately up to her death.
