Alec Baldwin shared a heartfelt post to remember Halyna Hutchins on her death anniversary, but people disapproved of it.

One year ago, Hutchins tragically died after Baldwin's prop gun discharged a live round. The same gun also wounded director Joel Souza at the scene.

Amid the ongoing investigation into the "Rust" shooting incident, the 64-year-old actor took his time to remember his colleague by sharing a photo of her on his Instagram page. However, the public condemned him for making the move.

"One year ago today..." he captioned the post. It remains unknown whether the photo was taken at the Bonanza Creek Ranch during the "Rust" filming.

While the post received heartfelt messages from the actor's colleagues and fans, some also condemned him and branded him "disgraceful" for sharing the post but choosing to stay at his Vermont home instead of visiting Hutchins' grave.

Daily Mail shared photos of Baldwin playing with his kids, while Hutchins' friends visited her at her California gravesite.

One of the commenters said, "One year ago you killed her.....how brave to even post this."

Reuters confirmed earlier this month that Baldwin and Hutchins' family reached an out-of-court settlement. This also led to the resumption of the film's production in January 2023, with Souza continuing as director.

Will Alec Baldwin Be Held Accountable for Halyna Hutchins' Death?

Although Baldwin reached a settlement with the family in the wrongful death lawsuit they filed, a spokesperson for the Santa Fe District Attorney clarified to CNN that it would not affect the ongoing criminal probe and its outcome.

According to the Office of the First Judicial District Attorney of New Mexico's Heather Brewer, criminal cases deal with facts so charges are still possible under New Mexico law. With that, charges will still be served to the people involved.

In fact, he was named as one of the "Rust" people who could be charged soon.

First Judicial District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies already received $317,750 emergency fund after filing a request for $635,500 since they were reportedly near to charging people involved in Halyna Hutchin's death.

They expect to have four separate jury trials in the case, as well.

Meanwhile, Baldwin's representative, Attorney Luke Nikas, said the DA's office should review the matter and decide on the charging decision.
