George Clooney has joked about his wife Amal Clooney's lack of skills in the kitchen.

George, 62, and Amal, 45, stepped out together Monday night for the Los Angeles premiere of Amazon's "The Boys in the Boat." Clooney directed and produced the film. During an interview at the event, he jokingly hinted that he is better in the kitchen than his barrister wife.

"My wife, who is a brilliant lawyer -- she's one of the great advocates of the world; she takes on ISIS and all these things -- but I better be doing the cooking, or we will all die," he told "Extra."

When asked about what's on their family menu since the holidays are coming, George proudly shared that as the cook in the family, he will be preparing for Amal and their 6-year-old twins Alexander and Ella.

"I'm gonna do Christmas turkey this year, like a little Thanksgiving turkey. Hard to find a good one, but I found a good one already for Christmas turkey this year."

When asked about their family's Christmas traditions and if they have a concept of what they would do, George smiled and said, "No."

"No concept at all, which is great!" he added.

George also spoke with Entertainment Tonight about his wife, who looked stunning in her Atelier Versace yellow gown and Cartier jewels at the event.

"She cleans up," he said. "I'm always embarrassed because I'm wearing something that I've worn, like, 1,000 times."

He jokingly added that he was "slighted" by the attention that his wife gets and teased that he has been reduced to being her plus-one.

"My entire career has been reduced to a plus-one now," he shared. "I did one of those Women in Film things a couple years ago, and I had to introduce myself as 'Amal Clooney's husband' because, honestly, I was dead otherwise."

George has a lot to offer when it comes to household chores aside from cooking. In his 2021 interview with AARP The Magazine, he shared the stuff he did at home during the quarantine, which included repairing his wife and kids' clothes.

"I do a lot of sewing the kids' clothes and my wife's dress that tore a couple of times," Clooney said after revealing that he also spent time rewiring his assistant's sewing machine. "I was a bachelor for a long time and didn't have any money, and you have to learn how to repair things."

The "Midnight Sky" actor also proudly shared his survival skills, which he was reportedly good at aside from doing the usual stuff at home.

"If we were on an island and you had to pick somebody to help you survive, I would pick me," he quipped. "Ask all of my friends, and they would pick me, too. I can make a waterspout out of this and a pitcher out of that."
