John Stamos' ex-wife Rebecca Romijn finally broke her silence about his memoir.

Last October, the "Full House" star dropped his memoir "If You Would Have Told Me." In the book, he recounted their relationship and marriage and disclosed that at one point, he called her "the Devil."

Romijn admitted she was "blindsided" by his book when she spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the Critics Choice Awards Sunday. However, she said she didn't immediately respond to her ex-husband's revelations because she didn't want to help him sell more copies.

During the interview, Romijn briefly talked about the memoir but didn't want to say much about it for the same reason -- she didn't want to help Stamos promote his book.

"I was very surprised by all of that, incredibly shocked actually," she told ET. "I was sort of blindsided by it. But you know, I don't really want to help him sell his books based on those headlines. So that's all I really want to say about it."

Stamos accused the "Femme Fatale" actress of infidelity and detailed the emotional betrayal in his publication. He did this even though a rep for the exes previously denied that cheating was involved in their 2004 split.

In the new book, he recalled meeting her for the first time at a party with his "Full House" co-star, Lori Loughlin. They hit it off immediately, and they traveled the world together and spent holidays with their families. He even called her his "best friend" and someone "I genuinely care for."

He proposed to her after two years on Christmas Eve. It was a "spontaneous moment," as he had no ring and was naked. They got engaged in 1997 and tied the knot in 1998. They announced their separation in 2004, but in the book, he revealed they split in March 2003.

"Something cruel and calculating creeps into the pleasant pattern of the day," he wrote, based on an excerpt obtained by ET. "She smiles at me a little less, doesn't look me in the eyes over dinner, takes phone calls in the other room. Whispers behind doors. She makes a trip to the store seem clandestine."

"It's a strange, f****d-up 'what the hell is happening' type of heartbreak that up to this point I've never felt. I wasn't prepared for this one. I never knew I could be so angry and and hate-filled toward another human being, much less one I had been dedicated to for a decade."

Before the release of his memoir, Stamos admitted that he was "emasculated" by his ex-wife's skyrocketing career at the time.

"I felt that I became emasculated," Stamos told Howard Stern last November. "I think she outgrew me."

In an interview with People, when he was promoting his book, the actor spoke about his first marriage and how it broke him.

"My first marriage was shattering to me. I was shattered for way too long, too," he said. "I mean, a year, okay, good. But it went on [for] years and years."

It was reportedly "really difficult" to write the chapters because, in his mind back then, "she was the Devil, and I just hated her." He said his hatred toward Romijn was so intense that "it ruined my life." However, he also realized later that he played a part in why their marriage didn't work.

"You start thinking, it's like, 'Oh, she wasn't the Devil. Maybe I was as much to blame as her,'" Stamos shared, adding that maybe his ex-wife "was trying to make it work because she cared" about him before they eventually parted ways.

Stamos has been married to Caitlin McHugh since 2018. They share a 5-year-old son, William "Billy" Christopher Stamos. Romijn married Jerry O'Connell in 2007, and they share 15-year-old twins, Charlie and Dolly.
