The actress explains in the post that in February 2023, she started taking her health more seriously — taking the time to take genetic testing that checks you for 90 different types of cancer.

Despite celebrating after testing negative for all pre-screenings in addition to passing her mammogram test, two months later she was still diagnosed with breast cancer.

She spent 10 months diving into research regarding cancer, various treatments, and hormones, admitting that throughout the process she's "only cried twice."

"I guess I haven't felt like there was time to cry. My focus narrowed and I tabled any emotions that I felt would interfere with my ability to stay clear headed." she wrote. "I wouldn't have found my cancer for another year at my next scheduled mammogram, except that my OBGYN, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi decided to calculate my Breast Cancer Risk Assessment score. The fact that she did saved my life."

The 'X-Men: Apocalypse' star is seemingly in good spirits, saying, "I hope by sharing this it will help others find comfort, inspiration and support on their own journey."
