Lady Gaga gave radio show host Ryan Seacrest an ARTPOP makeover when she stopped by to talk to him on Monday about her new music and to release the audio of her latest single Applause.

Mother Monster arrived at the studio wearing the theatrical makeup she sported on the cover art for the track. She then attempted to give Seacrest the same look. He took a photo of the duo and posted it on Instagram, although he admitted that he could not pull it off the correct facial expression quite like Gaga did in the cover art.

"One of us was born this way, one of us needed to be touched up," Seacrest captioned the photo.

Applause is Gaga's first single off her third studio album titled ARTPOP, which will be released in stores Nov. 11. She released the song on Seacrest's show a week earlier than scheduled due to Internet leaks. She announced the news via Twitter on Monday, saying, "911 summon the monster troupes," and "a pop music emergency is underway 911."

"Due to hackers an abundance of low/high quality leaks...we issue this pop music emergency...monsters spread the word," she added.

ARTPOP was announced in August of 2012 while Gaga was in the midst of her Born This Way Ball world tour, which kicked off in April 2012 in Seoul. The tour abruptly ended in February in Montreal when a severe hip injury forced Gaga to cancel the rest of her shows. Her surgeon said if she continued on with the tour she may have needed a full hip replacement that would put her out of performing for at least a year, the singer revealed to WWD.

Pre-orders for ARTPOP will be available Sept. 1 through a special app launching from TechHAUS. Talking about the record's title, Gaga said, "the point [of ARTPOP] is that art and pop can have an exchange."

The New York native went nude in her cover shoot for the September issue of V Magazine.

"There's a sense of stripping bare and then putting things back on. That's the process she's going through," photographer Van Lamsweerde-who shot the September issue images-explains to WWD. "For her it's a part of that not hiding behind wigs and glasses and all kinds of stuff."

Gaga headlines the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
