Despite her relationship with actor Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has no plans for marriage.

In an interview with Elle magazine for its September 2013 issue, the actress dodged questions about a possible engagement to the actor and revealed that she doesn't envision her life following any ordinary path. The actress also has a similar mindset when it comes to the movie roles she desires to play. 

"I don't imagine myself, my work, or my life, fitting into any kind of standardized path. In fact, the idea of there even being a standard freaks me out a lot," she told the magazine. "People want to put me in a wedding dress and make me the object of affection, but I'd much rather shoot the gun and save the world. I've always fought against what was expected of me as much as I could."

Depp and Heard, former Rum Diary co-stars, have been romantically tied since his split from long-time partner Vanessa Paradis in 2012. They have been photographed on several occasions together, including having dinner with Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards in May. Despite being in a high-profile relationship, the 27-year-old actress made it clear that her work is of great importance to her and she doesn't want her personal life to overshadow it.

"It's not part of my professional life. I want to be an artist. I don't want to be a celebrity," she told Flare about her love life in the magazine's September 2013 issue. "You can find pictures of me [on the Internet] pumping gas, picking up dry cleaning, walking my dog, but nowhere are you going to find pictures of me hanging around at some nightclub."

The actress's latest film, Paranoia, is out in U.S. theaters on Aug. 16. In the film she plays the girlfriend of lead character Liam Hemsworth.
