Three new spoilers have been leaked ahead of the season 3 premiere of Scandal and one includes a sudden death that will rock the cast during episode four.

E! News' Watch With Kristin blog reported that the person who dies is not a main cast member and Fitz will have "loads of guilt over it." This will lead viewers to believe that POTUS has secret inormation regarding the shocking loss, according to the post.

The Hollywood Reporter shared another spoiler for season 3 of the series, saying ABC will introduce a new character played by Dead Like Me actress Cynthia Stevenson. Stevenson will play a client in need of Olivia Pope's services. She turns to Pope & Associates to cover up a scheme but the plot has yet to be revealed. Stevenson has appeared in Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes' other dramas including Grey's Anatomy, Off The Map and Private Practice.

ABC released the new poster for season 3 of Scandal on Monday. The show's official Twitter account and Instagram revealed the promotional image after asking "gladiator" fans for 10,000 retweets. The social media marketing campaign was accomplished in six hours.

The poster features a head shot of lead "gladiator" Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope with her head looking down perhaps in shame now that, as the caption suggests, her "secret is out." The captin refers to the season 2 finale episode, which revealed that the press and public learned of Pope's affair with POTUS.

Jeff Perry, who plays Cyrus, the crooked White House Chief of Staff, revealed the first few episodes of season 3 will focus on who leaked POTUS and Pope's secert affair.

"These first couple of episodes back are all about the drama of Olivia has been outed by someone," he told E! News. "How did this leak? Who leaked it? Who sent it? Is it possible anyone will actually admit to it? If they do, what will that mean?" he asked referring to the as-yet-revealed story lines.

ABC will premiere season 3 of Scandal on Oct. 3 at 10 p.m. EST.
