Scandal star Columbus Short is getting divorced for the second time.

Tanee Short, used her real name Teure McCall when she filed a separation from the actor on Sept. 9, according to Radar OnlineTeure filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Sept. 11.

The petition she filed stated that the couple wed in 2005 and separated on Monday, according to the news report. she is seeking spousal support, sole custody of their 19-month-old daughter Ayala and wants her actor husband to pay her legal fees. 

Columbus stars alongside Kerry Washington in the role of Harrison Wright on ABC's hit show Scandal. Wright and Pope work together in Pope's political damage control firm.

Prior to his appearance in Scandal,  the films Stomp The Yard and Cadillac Records, Collumbus was a choreographer and backup dancer who worked with stars including Britney Spears. During his first marriage to Brandi Short, it was revealed that he had a brief fling with the Toxic singer when they worked together.

Columbus revealed in a 2004 interview that an extramarital affair with Spears caused his first wife, who was eight months pregnant at the time, to file for divorce from him.

''It's true I slept with Britney, [but] we never had sex because another person was in the room at the time,'' Columbus reportedly told Star in February 2004. ''We shared a bed and were really close, kissing and hugging. The chemistry was magical... our feelings were so strong.''

When Spears' mom, Lynne Spears, learned of the couple's "chemistry" she ended their budding relationship.

''Britney's mom, Lynne, stepped in to prevent that as soon as our feelings started to develop,'' he slipped. ''It would be fair to say Britney caused major problems in our marriage.'Sadly, we're now getting divorced. Despite everything that happened, I'll always remember those special moments with Britney.''
