CSI: Crime Scene Investigation's D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) will not only be facing difficulties at work, but he will also see marital problems as season 14 begins.

When Danson's character entered the show in season 12, it meant uprooting his family. Now, Russell's wife Barbara (Peri Gilpin) is tiring of the Las Vegas life and will start to think about a possible move.

"Barbara never wanted to be in Las Vegas; Seattle really is her home," executive producer Don McGill told TV Guide. ""We've always suggested that Russell came to Vegas as a Phil Jackson-like, short-term coach putting the team back together."

Could Russell wind up leaving the CSI team behind, or will Barbara leave Russell?

"Barbara will pose a question to Russell that is a bit of a 'put up or shut up' moment in terms of whether they will continue their lives together in Las Vegas," McGill disclosed, according to TV Guide. "The purpose for Barbara to stay in Las Vegas may no longer be there."

While the seeds of Russell's self-doubt will be sown in the premiere, it is unknown how into the season it will be before we see Barbara's displeasure.

CSI returns to CBS on Sept. 25.
