One of the producers of Under the Dome teased new details about the last three episodes of the first season.

In episode 10, which aired Monday, Joe (Colin Ford), Norrie (Mackenzie Lintz) and Angie (Britt Robertson) discovered that Junior (Alexander Koch) was the fourth hand they needed to unlock the mini-dome. When all four touched the mini-dome, a succession of pink stars started falling around them, but viewers were left wondering what that meant.

"The last three episodes dive deeply into exploring that question," executive producer Neal Baer told TV Guide in a Friday report. "The power of the four hands will soon be revealed."

The characters will also be faced with the caterpillar, which will ultimately grow into a Monarch butterfly. As for whether or not this will lead to the crowning of the Monarch, Baer teased that viewers will find out how the caterpillar is connected.

"All we know is that the caterpillar has the potential to turn into a Monarch butterfly," Baer explained. "So the question is how this Monarch butterfly, trapped under the mini-dome, will lead to the crowning of The Monarch."

Meanwhile, Barbie (Mike Vogel) and Julia (Rachelle Lefevre) will be dealing with personal problems. Barbie finally admitted to Julia that she killed her husband, but things may get even worse between them in the next episode.

"Something shocking happens in [Monday's] episode that puts [their trust] to a test," Baer teased. "A storm of emotions and a storm of unseen power is about to descend on Chester's Mill."

The next episode of Under the Dome airs Monday, Sept. 2 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
